Volunteers needed—as always, we can use your help with registration,
time keeping, and control pickup. Send an e-mail
if you have 30 minutes to an hour to help out!
Details:
Hilly and forested, this should be a fun event. We will
be starting at the regular spot off Flavin/ Willow Springs Rd. The
courses will be normal white, yellow, orange, green, and red.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Public Transportation:
The #379 Pace bus leaves Midway Airport at 10:45 am. Get off at
87th street and 88th ave. Walk west about 2 miles on 87th and through
the forest preserve to the start. 87th ends before Flavin Road,
so you'll have to take trails to the start location. This will be
a good navigation exercise for you.
Directions:
From the city, take I-55 (Stevenson Expressway) 13 miles southwest
of the loop. Exit at LaGrange Road (aka US 45, Exit 279A), and
go south 1.7 miles to Archer Ave. Take
Archer Avenue southwest (right) for 1.6 miles and turn south
(left) on Flavin Rd. (This is across the street from Willow Springs
Rd.) Go up the hill and take a left into the first forest preserve
entrance.
Watch
for
red

orienteering
signs to direct you to the registration area.
