Details:
Our meets at Deer Grove usually draw the largest number of participants all year, and we are looking forward to a big turnout this year. We will have a variety of courses for every ability and interest! For beginner to intermediate skill levels, we will have the standard white, yellow, and orange courses. For the advanced competitors, red and green courses will be offered.

Green and Red will use electronic punching so bring your ePunch stick. We will be selling new ePunch sticks for $25 or renting them for $5.

The park's underbrush is very dense because of the recent wet weather, especially in the southeast part. The intermediate and advanced courses will require some bushwhacking, so be prepared with long pants and gaiters.

Directions:
Take Route 53 north of I-90 for 6 miles. Exit on Dundee Road, turn left, and go west 3 miles to Quentin Road. Turn right and go north 0.5 mile. Turn left into the forest preserve. Continue straight at the first intersection within the preserve (toward grove 1) and cross the creek. The registration area will be at the first shelter on the left (grove 1). This is located just to the north of the multi-use trail crossing.

Public Transportation:
Bring your bike on Metra! A Metra train arrives at the Palatine station on Sundays at 11:24 a.m. from the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago. From there you ride or walk north on Smith Street, past a 19th century cemetery, to the bike path which will lead you directly into the forest preserve and registration just prior to the noontime cut-off (2 miles from station).
