Thursday September 12th.
Details:
Start any time from 10-Noon, at the parking lot off JR across from
the Parkside XC Trail. You will receive a detailed map of the UW
Campus with circled locations that you use to orient yourself to
locate. A super fun, family friendly, competitive run or walk electronically
timed. A great way to introduce yourself to the sport of Orienteering!
After the event stop in at the Petrifying Springs Biergarten in
the park (next to the dog park) for fun and friendship.
There will be options for both a 5K and 2.5K course.
Directions:
Take I-94 north from Chicago towards Milwaukee. Between Kenosha
and Racine, take exit 339 for County Highway E/12th Street/Somers
Road. Turn right on Somers Road and take it east about 2.5 miles
to County JR / Petrifying Springs Road. Turn left on JR and take
it for about 0.25 miles to the parking lot on your right (north
side).
