Letters:
Another use for your GPS...

George Hartsell

Route review—this is a nice reason to strap a GPS receiver on your arm as you go running around. I'm always curious as to where I went wrong exactly and how far I actually went. Obviously there are going to be problems with reception problems from tree cover, but in general I've found it pretty good at picking up my routes and wanderings. Navigate with it—no way! But it does make a nice record of where you went and the additional weight is not an issue. Why not have more events with categories for GPS folks to enter? We're all outdoor enthusiasts and this could be a great way to get more people to events. Go for it I'd say.
