Details:
This will be our 4th meet at the beautiful campus of University of Wisconsin Parkside in Kenosha.
Easy to get to from Highway 94 and country road E. Start will be right on campus at the parking lot for the track off of highway E.
Three courses will be offered a short, medium, intermediate, and advanced long course.
Course lengths will range from 2.5 km for the Short, 4.4km for the medium intermediate and 6.7 km for the Advanced.
The campus and surrounding woods make for very interesting navigational challenge. Using the campus for control locations as well as the nearby wooded areas and trails of petrifying Springs county park. The shorter courses will mostly be around and on the campus and advance courses will venture into the trails in woods.
As usual, if your first course is too easy, you are more than welcome to try a second course of more difficult level.
Electronic a punch will be used for the event this year.
Directions:
Take I-94 north from Chicago towards Milwaukee. Between Kenosha
and Racine, take exit 339 for County Highway E/12th Street/Somers
Road. Turn right on Somers Road and take it east about 2.5 miles
to County JR / Petrifying Springs Road. The parking lot and start
location is on the north side of Hwy E just east of the intersection
with JR.
