Details:
Our summer Sprint series wraps up on August 15th. (However, mark the Sprint Finals on your calendar for October 7th.)

Bring your SI chip ("ePunch stick"). If you do not have one, they will be available purchase or rent at the meet site. As you may have noticed, more and more events are using the electronic punching and timing system. If you choose to use the old Tyvek punch cards (no charge), your time will not be calculated and your results will not be displayed on the web site.

The courses are likely to cross the Chicago river between bridges. The river is very low right now: knee-deep at most. A change of shoes and socks is recommended. Update! Ha! Because of the recent rains, the river has overflowed its banks and now covers a full extra contour line. The courses have been modified to cross the river only at bridges. One of the courses will have a remote finish to accommodate this change. The courses have been redesigned so that competitors are unlikely to gain advantage by going through any standing water. Because of this, and for safety reasons, any competitor observed wading or swimming will be disqualified.

Directions:
Take the Eden's Expwy (I-94) 2 miles north (west) of the Kennedy (I-90) to Exit 41A (N Caldwell Ave). west). Caldwell will bend from west to north as you go 4 miles to the forest preserve entrance on your right, just past Oakton St. Watch for the orange-and-white orienteering signs. You can also take the Edens to Touhy and go west to Caldwell. Turn right and go north, following the directions above. From the north, exit at Dempster and take that west to Waukegan. Turn left and go south, watching for the Caldwell split to your left. The forest preserve entrance is about 1/4 mile north of Oakton.

Public Transportation:
Take the Metra Milwaukee District North line out of Union Station. The 5:15 p.m. train arrives in Morton Grove at 5:42. Walk north to Dempster then west across the river and tracks and follow the bike path south through the woods to the start just north of Oakton.
