2010 Schedule On-Line

There are 16 orienteering events scheduled for 2010. The winter months bring us two Madnaess events and the Snowgaine. Starting in April, we have four classic spring meets scheduled. Summer will present the Canoe-O and Night-O events. As we head into fall, look for six classic events followed by a sprint. Hope to see you out there!

New Season Pass

CAOC now offers a season pass option. A single $50 fee automatically registers you for every regular individual event; a pre-printed map will always be available to you. Get one now, or read more about the program.

CAOC's World Champion

Congratulations to Natalia Deconescu for winning a Gold Medal at the 2009 World Masters Orienteering Championships in Sydney, Australia (October 10-17, 2009)! Way to go Natalia! Check out some more photos.

2009 US Championships

The 2009 US Orienteering Championships were held October 23rd - 25th in Greenbush, WI. Congratulations to Maricel Olaru for the 8th best time over-all. Joe Sackett and Natalia Deconescu took first place in their divisions, and Lisa McNerney took third. Magnus and Jan Naess, two of the club's younger members, took first place in each of their divisions as well.

Good work CAOC!

About Orienteering

Everyone is welcome. No experience, no special clothes, and no competitive instinct are required. You do not have to run when orienteering—many experienced orienteers walk the course. But competitive running is also welcome. First-time orienteers are especially welcome—we will help you get started.

If you have questions about orienteering or need help finding the event location, e-mail the club secretary at secretary@chicago-orienteering.org.
