On-line registration is open until 11:59 p.m. Friday April 20th.

Details:
Our second event of the year will be held on a brand-new map at Lakewood Forest Preserve. The map will be the standard 5 color, 1:10,000 scale, 3 meter contour interval. Five standard point-to-point courses (White, Yellow, Orange, Green and Red) have been planned for this event. There will be something for people of every skill level, from beginners to advanced.

If you are not familar with the Lakewood Forest preserve, please review these mapper notes before participating in the event.

NEW FOR 2012 - EPUNCH FOR ALL COURSES:
Beginning with the meet of March 25, all courses will use ePunch electronic timing. Epunch has been used for the orange, green and red courses for some time. Now the white and yellow course orienteers will be able to use this timing system. Best of call, there will be no cost to use an epunch stick. A loaner epunch will be included with each registration. The club will continue to sell new epunch sticks for those that prefer to have their own (we recommend it for frequent orienteer--it'll save time at registration).

Directions:
Entrance into Lakewood Preserve is on the south side of route 176 1.6 miles east of downtown Wauconda, Il, or 1/3 mile west of the intersection of Fairfield Road and Route 176. Follow entrance road south through first intersection (the road will change to gravel and turn west) for 1/3 mile to parking and shelter for the event: Shelter E or the "Bat Shelter".
