It was a great day for Halloween orienteering at Stoney Run. A
good number of first timers took the time to complete both the White
and Yellow courses. Competition was close with Stephanie Ebsch winning
White by only two minutes and Tanya Meagher winning yellow by the
same. Alena blistered the advanced course despite a number of falls.
Thanks to Lise and Stan for coming later in the start window and
helping with control pick-up. Thanks to Michael for vetting the
advanced course on Friday afternoon. Special thanks to Caryn and
Jennifer from the Lake County Parks Department for all of their
help and for letting us set up our registration/download area in
a heated building. LCPD is great to work with!
I will be looking into the possibility of a night meet in the next
few weeks at Lemon Lake County Park. Let us know if you are interested
so we can make a final decision and work on getting approval.
