Details:
White, Orange, Green, Red will be standard point-to-point courses.
Yellow will be a Score-O, where all controls must be found but
in the competitor's choice of order.
The event will use the Willow Springs map. Master maps
will be used. White, Yellow and Orange may copy their points prior
to
starting
(as usual).
If conditions
permit,
Green
and Red will copy theirs "on the clock." Orange, Green,
Red must use the drainage tunnel under route 45 (LaGrange Rd) to
complete their courses.
Join us for the final meet of the Spring season. With all the
rain, the woods are lush and all the marshes and streams are full.
Directions:
Take I-55 (Stevenson Expwy.) 13 miles southwest of the Loop. Exit
at LaGrange Road (aka US-45, Exit 279A), and go south 2 miles
to 87th street. Take 87th east and turn north on Kean Avenue.
Forest preserve entrance is on the left (west); watch for the
red and white orienteering signs to direct you to the registration
area.
Public Transportation:
#379 Pace bus leaves Midway at 10:45 a.m. Get off at 87th Street
and 88th Avenue. Walk west 1/2 mile and north on Kean Avenue
1/2 mile to forest preserve and follow trail west to registration.
